A "MASTER FAREWELL" moves our molecules deeply the way Ayman only can express it well… includig his death. Joy and Love was his styling laughter with Golden insights and a vibrancy that encouraged us all to go another level – bring out the best of who we are.
In 1996, I had the privilege to live with Ayman and his family on a Milll Valley hill – a life always filled with challenges, perspectives, action and laughter that could make a difference. He was always working on his master publications, children’s books and projects. It was an experience to engage.
As collaboration assistant, Ayman and I worked with Joshua Freedman to launch the First International Conference on Emotional Intelligence (EQ) in S.F. in 2000. Working as a COO & operational CFO of Wholelife Expositions and Conferences, also I coordinated closely with Greg Roberts to support fantastic talented staff to boost a new future. Ayman was very excited and uplifted at a high level of vision for launching the new effort for the Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, & Texas shows, aiming to involving possibly 30,000 folks.
During the actually specific launch weeks 911 exploded, smashed our efforts. Like so many, we sunk – the Texas turned into a free 911 prayer gathering in search of what made sense at that time. It became a dark series of nights.
Ayman brought every core brilliance to discuss options and to explore continually moving forward during this time. Digesting the most difficult realities and looking for options, as others I advised him that there was "no way to win" – the decision was to not go further but close down. Staying to the end, I assisted staff to find personal options and organized everything to closed the office and put everything in storage. It was a difficult time.
I witnessed Ayman’s core essence durning these weeks – he kept his passion vibrant for people and staff. He still held his vision for a positive future, his positiveness for people thinking differently, a supportive fundamental humor, encouragement to Board Members, and a Spirit to never let up. He strategically made everything necessary to make a positive difference given the disaster.
I witnessed his continual commitment to make a difference with Rowan at many future levels of “ next"- he even introduced me at one point to a future partner Mikaele. He encourages all of us “ to act big” in life and to “laugh” deeply to navigate Life’s best. I love you and miss you, Ayman…Peace and Ashalum.
